In Your Dreams
Peony age 6

Everyone has new dreams
They’re powerful
Dreams are paradise
Dreams are like days
On a sunny day, a wave crashes on to you
And sometimes you can feel the warm soft sun
Carrying you in its cosy strong arms
Your dreams are angelic
They’re kind
They’re calm
They are beautiful
In your dreams!!

New Dawn
Maya age 11

New dawn, new times
Turning over a new leaf
I’m carving my own path
Off the beaten track
In the new light
New Year, new sensations
New opportunities
So many a story, fizzling with excitement,
Waiting to be told
So many wild adventures waiting to unfold.
Last year is now
Ink on crumbling, yellow parchment
Fading memory, long list history
As I leave behind
Bittersweet memories,
Hopes
Dreams
Fears
I enter a new Era
A new land
Where no one has ever stepped before.

That dream
Chloe age 8

A snowy night, I lay in bed
Dreaming of what comes ahead
Will there be rain like pouring showers
To water all my beautiful flowers
I can’t wait for when new chicks appear
With the sun opening up the skies so clear
Playing longer with friends in the park
Staying all day until it’s dark
As I wake up my sleepy head
I yawn and climb from my bed
As the lights flicker on
I think of what has come and gone
Can’t wait to finish 2025
For new beginnings to thrive

Mia’s First Day of School
Ella age 8

“Morning Mia” cried mum joyfully.
“How do you feel on your first day of school?” asked dad. “I feel scared” said Mia. “Get in the car.” said dad. “Bye Mia” said dad.

“Morning class!” said the teacher. “Today a new person called Mia has joined the class. “Hi Mia!” said the class.
“Time for the register. Tina, Gerrald, Leo Mia, Andrew, Simon and Rose.” Today was a full class. “Now let’s start,” said Miss Summers. “Today we will do English, Math, Science, history and then PE”.

Now school was done. “How was your day Mia?” said her mum and dad. “It was good.” said Mia.
